The two most-often used knives in the kitchen: a chef's knife (8" blade) and a paring knife (3½" blade). Forged from a single piece of stainless steel and perfectly balanced each knife features a transparent ceramic coating on the blade that ensures optimum protection against corrosion, superb non-stick qualities, and better protection against scratches and general wear. The edge of the knife is not coated, enabling normal edge maintenance, while Precision Edge Technology ensures long-lasting sharpness. Use the paring knife for paring, peeling, trimming, and dicing fruits and vegetables. The chef's knife is used for cutting, chopping, slicing, and dicing fruits, vegetables, meat, and poultry.

The knife takes its name from the "X" design on the bolster of the knife, achieved using an innovative forging technique. Dynamic lines, crossing over at the centre of the bolster forming an "X", link the handle to the blade in an intelligent and ergonomic way.
